China's Sept crude imports rise 18% to daily record - RTRS

China’s crude imports jumped to fresh yearly highs in September, while a hit a record daily rate, the General Administration of Customs showed on Thursday.  

 China's crude import rose 18% from a year earlier to 33.06 million tonnes in September, hitting a record daily rate of 8.04 million barrels per day (bpd). Crude oil import volumes gained 14% to 284 million tonnes (7.55 million bpd) in the first nine months of the year, according to the data.

The rise in crude imports indicate robust demand for the black gold, while China’s expanded storage capacity is also a reason behind last month’s jump in crude imports.
